New plugs hard to start

Hi,

I just put in new spark plugs, they were NGK G platinum my friend bought me.

After replacing them, now my car has hard time starting in the cold mornings. Before the change, my car started fine even when it was cold.

I was careful when I installed the new plugs, everything went in nice and tight.

Does anyone know why this happend? I'm scared that now winter is coming (Canada), I will damage my car if I keep on getting hard starts in the morning.

Thanks.

Re: New plugs hard to start

If you have an h22 it calls for iridium plugs, not platinum.

hmm, i will put the old ones back in tonight and see. i'm thinking now i should've went for the ngk iridiums. those don't need to be gapped right?

i have a 5th gen, stock. how do i find the heat range? i've never heard of that before. if i get the ngk iridiums, are they already good enough?

Ok, yea I didn't know you had a 5th gen.

the H22 calls for Iridium plugs... they came from the factory with them.

:threadjack:

this brings up a good point-- I just bought some iridiums for my H23A 4th Gen as recomended by the Auto Parts seller.

This is considered an upgrade from Platinum and will be OK right?

I plan on changing my sparks and cables.

I'm currently running on NGK Iridiums and NGK cables, but wanted to do something diff for a change. I want to get the same NGK Iridium but change the cables.

I was thinking of 10MM but what brand?!?!

I saw on Ebay that Magnacore has. Is that good enough or MSD?!?!
