Re: Prelude not passing smog?

Seems like a good price for a 5gen. A I my area they rarely go below 6000.

But we need more info. Have you driven it yet? How many miles? How is the paint, interior, motor, etc? (You can see more detail in person than in photos) How old is the clutch, timing belt, water pump?

More info please.

not every car is whipped. why people say it like every 1 who owns a prelude is a 16 year old, tryna be a street racer lol..(not tryna sound rude so srry if it sounds like it)

he's a 28-30 year old with three cars and is selling one(which is this one)

but there is a stock one for same price but what if both are fine and this one jus needs da cat..which would you buy then?

. but ima have my uncle to go with me and check it out since he owns a shop.

because lots of people are

I said it might be whipped because, it has a cf hood, cai, suspension, clutch, rebuilt head, header, wheels, stickers in the window

all normally good indications the car has not been used as a grocery getter

oh and it's having emission problems

Re: Prelude not passing smog?

I think that's something one can judge when you meet the owner.

Yes, those are sign that the car have been pushed but not necessarily means that it's been abused.

Actually most people that I know that mod their cars are kind of OCD, always keeping it well maintain and in top shape. More so than the people that use their cars as "grocery getter".

But then again I've seen people taking some crazy short cuts when modding cars and just purely abusing them.

It's just a risk everyone takes when buying a used car. You never know how well maintain the car was or how bad it was treated. You just have to judge for yourself and take your time making your decision.

Good luck on your purchase

Re: Prelude not passing smog?

just look it over real good when you go to test drive it, theres no reason a head with 127k on it would need a rebuild if it was properly taken car of. and with that i'd be sure to check all other parts for major wear and tear.

And hey I'm 18 now, but I got my car when I was 16 and I've taken care of her since day one.
