temperature gauge problems

lastnight i was driving and i noticed that my temp gauge went up to one square before the red square.....i believe thats 3 past the normal line

while this is happening i can hear my cooling fan on but the temp stays up im not sure what to check and idk if it could be the thermostat...which i changed maybe about 2yrs ago or less

Re: temperature gauge problems

might wanna change that thing again, i buy a new tstat for mine every year, but then again i dont run one during spring summer and fall, the only reason i use one in the winter is so the heater will warm up in a decent amount of time!
