Icon8 Installation of JDM Halo Projectors

Okay guys, ive never posted any new threads on anything but ill go ahead and do this one since i had such a hard time taking off my head lights.

When I went to install my JDM Halo Projectorsheadlights, I took the bolts on top of the headlights, the ones that are near the corner under the front bumber, and the ones under the headlight themselves,.

The problem was that when i went to pull out the (Black Harness) i guess you could call it, and the darn thing wouldn't come out. When i went to take off the (Big metal piece that helps you when your in an accident) I noticed that there were many "spot welds" on it, so it couldn't be taken off. I was at the point where the headlight wanted to come out, but couldnt because the front of my car frame wouldn't let it.

I finally just cut the "black Harness" in half and the main headlight came out. So i did the same on both sides.

I know this is long but bear with me

When i went to put in the new headlights, I had the same problem in that the piece that goes down into the bumper where it is bolted near the (windshield wiper fluid) on the driver side and (close to the corner insert on the passenger) so i had to cut that off as well..

I finally got them on and well stabled to where they wouldn't move, i just know that I cant put MY stock headlights back on cuz i cut it in half...

Please post your thoughts on how much an idiot i was and how i could have done this project without cutting the black looking harness thing off... and saving my stock headlights.

It sounds like you almost had the bumper brace off [darn hidden bolts] but if you got that off its a cake walk. As for the projects my thought is you were better off stock. My lude had projectors on it when I bought it and they looked burnt and foggy. So I replace them with another set of projects. Waste of money some problems. So now I have JDM one piece and couldnt be happier.

^^^ give the man a cookie. rep to joo.

the bumper brace attaches in four spots. two underneath using plastic screws and rivets. two inside the engine bay, right behind the headlights using metal bolts. take out those four, and the entire bumper comes off.

my thoughts?? halo's look gross and also have sucky light output.

like partsguy said, all you needed to do was undo the 6 bolts holding the metal bumper support on: 4 on the front, and 2 that go thru the radiator support and pop out in front of the battery and cruise control.

you just destroyed 2 pairs of headlights

Did you get your lights all fixed up?
I used to have halos but like twokexlv6coupe said the light output
just sucks. I liked my halos but I love my one piece headlights.

well... if were able to use your original bulbs with the projectors, you need 9005 bulbs for the high beam, and 9006 for the low beam. jdm headlights use h1 for high beam, h4 for low beam. we don't use h3 bulbs.
