Please help with my Transmission

Ive had a 99 stock prelude for about 6 months now and the tranny(5 speed) has been working great. Coming home the other night it starts to get really hard to go into gear. I get home and notice the fluid for the clutch is a lil low so I filled it and still same problem. I have since then bled the system twice and still the same problem. But heres the weird thing. First thing in the morning for a minute or so it works great, just like normal. Also if I only press the clutch petal maybe a 1/4 away from full press it shifts just like normal. Just wondering if maybe there is still air in the system or do I probally need a new clutch ? Thanks for any advice

Couple of possibilities. First it could be your synchro is ****ed thats kinda of a bitch to fix sometimes or your tranny fluid needs to be changed or you need a new master or slave cylinder. Notice any weird sound when you step on the clutch?

Re: Please help with my Transmission

yea it does make a spinning grinding noise when I press the clutch in while its still in gear slowing down. It was making the same noise when I would press it all the way to the floor when stoped, to engage a gear, but that has stoped? I checked the fluid in the tranny and its full but I dont know, Im boggeld. any ideas, btw thanks alot for responding, I really appreciate man

okay from the sound of it.. it could be your slave clyinder im 80% sure if not then its your master. Both are pretty cheap to fix though pray its the slave thats like 15 to 20 bucks to replace. Also the tranny oil needs to be changed every 6 to 10 thousand miles so might wanna look into that too. You can do both yourself its not very difficult.

Re: Please help with my Transmission

doesn't have to be super good fluid. You can get it at Kragens just ask them for tranny oil, but if anything get redline. Also if you get crazy tranny oil it'll actually make it even harder to shift, so watch what you get.

Well I tried the slave but its still acting up. Im going to go get some sychromesh tranny fluid and do a swap to see it that helps, my buddy swears it will.
