Please use punctuation marks as it is the difference between "I helped my friend, Jack, off a horse." and "I helped my friend jack off a horse."

Ahem, Aoife, if it's a gallon in us, isn't it 3.76 litres in europe?

Besides, people who have type-ses tend to live in the higher part of the rpm meter, so no good gas mileage. Est. mpg in the US is 18/24. Take 5 seconds to reach 30, and Coast to slow down and you'll see the 20/30 mpg range. You'll just get funny looks like these.

I live around 4K RPM and still get 30-32 a gallon.

Lucky. I've have never seen that mpg again (since owning a nissan sentra.) Im absolutely ecstatic when I get 18mpg in the city! And I also know about how to be miserly (since I"m rocking an addtl. 4 cylinders) Just saying when you have a fun ride, it takes dicipline not to open it up every stretch of open road you find.

Besides, You have to stand up for you Nugget anyhoo...

Re: Type S mpg

Short answer to your question is that a Type S gets the same milage as just about every other H22 Prelude, depending on weather conditions, where/how it's driven and how it's been maintained.

ha no, it's stupid, we still measure fuel consumption in gallons but we have imperial gallons not US gallons. basically as you said a US gallon is 3.76litres but an imperial gallon is 4.546litres. i'm too lazy to work out what my mpg is with US gallons though and Colin is right, there shouldn't be a difference.

but yes i must admit i do like my vtec
