Re: Im painting my Engine head.

are you going to do anything special with your lude? going to get certain color rims or paint the inside pieces or repaint your car? im thinking of doing mine blue to match the blue on my interior. good luck with your decision either way.

Re: Im painting my Engine head.

well, I just put my headers on actually and after driving for about 30 min the heat turned them gold and it looks pretty sick so I might go with a dark gold to match it.

also after putting it on my radiator hose sprung a leak >.<

so now i need to patch it up and replace it.

Re: Im painting my Engine head.

I would stay with Black Or White. I think any other colored head with a black or white colored car is really hard to pull off but it can be done.

If not Black or White I could see a yellow one working... or some hue of bronze/brown/yellow.

But I like a good clean look... as opposed to a more flashy kind of style.

What are you leaning towards?

Re: Im painting my Engine head.

when you say head, are you talking about the head or the valve cover? im assuming valve cover. and i saw one in augusts modified mag. on page 73, the evo they got in there has this beautiful dark forest green with a clear coat over it and it looks amazing with a carbon fiber spark plug cover. its low key, with some style. I have an extra valve cover im planning on painting just dont know what color yet. ive got the euro-r blue one so i dont know what im gonna do with the extra.

Re: Im painting my Engine head.

yea all this talking about painting heads of motors colors wigging me out...
i do hope you guys mean valve cover as well...

one thing to remember is whenever you do it make sure you replace your valve cover gasket and all the seals that come in the vc gasket kit...

and use vht high temp paint and clear...

and do whatever you want...
im about to do something on my spare valve cover that i've never seen...
