my 1st prelude needs a motor

i have recently been given a 92 honda prelude with a thrown rod my question is can i replace the the factory 2.2 sohc with a 2.2 sohc from a accord from the same year or do i have to stick with a prelude engine

you have the F22a1. you can replace it with any F22a1/4/6, H23a1/3, or H22a1/4. it'll be easiest if you find one from a 92-95 (OBD1)

There are a lot of mods for H series motors if that's what you're asking, more for the H22 than the H23.

i didn't know if i would have to change wiring harness,pcm,etc. or if if an h motor would bolt right in and use the exsisting hardware and electrical parts
