yea what si speed said lol

anyways, if you hear your fuel pump prime... then you have fuel. as far as spark it could be a number of things. what do you mean control module??? if you are talking about the ignitor box inside the distributor... which is could an ignition module then yea... it could definitely be the problem. if you have had some yucky wet weather.... ironically that module usually goes bad.

Re: Could a bad control module cause no fuel no spark???

remember to have a engine running, you need: spark, fuel, and air..for that case to have spark and fuel you must have a TDC(top dead center) signal, so the ecu can tell when to ignite the fuel and when to open the injectors next.... to achieve this signal you need a working cam shaft position sensor or a crank shaft position sensor signal..i dont know rember which one the ludes have..but they work the same.. before going around and changing stuff..you need to start from beginning...check for the signal..then work your way up

Re: Could a bad control module cause no fuel no spark???

Today i replaced the main relay and put my ecu into another car and it worked fine. Went to autozone bought a new coil and ignitor and same thing. My check engine light stays on when i turn the key to the on postion??? Im waiting to see if i can use the dizzy from another prelude to see if that fixes the problem. Sorry about posting in the new members section im pretty new to the whole online forums, just dont know what to do with this car its driving me nuts. But thanks for the help.
