Hondata S300

So i've been doing some reading now on the S300 and I have seen them before and when I saw them they were already in an ECU case and everything. I was wondering. Is there different models of the S300. Like can you get them with out the case? are there some that work as a piggy back system on your stock ECU? What I want to know what one specifically is a complete replacement. So when i buy the S300, I can take out my old ecu and put the S300 in it place and then tune it. Is that how they all are or what i said before true? SO bottom line, I want to be abel to take out old ecu and put S300, thats its no extra mods to it nothing. Is that possible?

Re: Hondata S300

Hondata isn't a new ECU I don't think, I believe it's just a chip that's integrated into your existing ECU. I know I've seen bundles on their website that would be essentially "plug and play." I don't know if they still have them or not, but I'm sure you could track one down. Of course you still need a tune after the install though. And depending on the year of your car, you might need an OBD2>OBD1 conversion harness.

Well i know they actually have one for sure that you dont need to buy the harness becuase it already comes with it or it already goes into the one you already have. something like that.
