Re: Trunk leaks like its on its period

man i have noticed the same problem, when i bought the lude a couple weeks ago actually. i had to look for it though, i took out the trunk mat and under and around the spare tire there were small puddles. i still am not sure wheres its coming from but it almost seems down the back window or the trunk rails.

Re: Trunk leaks like its on its period

I had that prob and had huge puddles that would soak into the back seat.

All you have to do really is lift up that board where your spare is. Remove the spare temporarily and under the spare is 2 rubber caps.

Pop those out and keep them at home or in your jackbox on the left side and so whenevr it leaks water into the trunk that it'll just leak right out through those 2 holes!!!

Ever since I did that I had no rain issues in my trunk anymore!!!

Re: Trunk leaks like its on its period

there are some hoses that run from the top of your car to the bottom. My trunk used to leak as well and i saw that a hose in the driver's side behind the cover was off. Stuck that hose back in there and i dont think i have that issue anymore.

see the hose that goes to the back?

the rear portion is in the trunk.

I swear mine is coming in through the back side windows. I checked the roof hoses and they're good.

thanks bro i found out it was the actual rubber gasket/housing round the taillight and one of the bolts on the back was really loose, guessing water came from both of those sources

Re: Trunk leaks like its on its period

same exact thing happened to me, I had to take my back seats out because they got soaked!

If just tightening down the old tail light gaskets doesnt work, you can order new ones from any Honda dealership. I paid like $25 for both of them I think. It an easy fix, Also if you do get new ones ask one of the guys at Honda for the sealant they use with it. The stuff is like Vaseline and acts as vapor barrier.

Re: Trunk leaks like its on its period

it also could be the rubber/metal strip that tends to fades to rust and that sits at the end of the rear windshield on the outside. there is a rubber sealant that seals the clips from the strip so it wont leak...it goes old
