cigs and cloth seats

think a cig could light my seats on fire if a lit one were to stay back there long enough?

Re: cigs and cloth seats

Doubtful. Very doubtful. I've had cars with a plush type seat and a drunk friend of mine passed out and let a full cigarette burn all the way down. I had a 3" burn hole through my seat. I'm not saying it can't happen, I'm just saying most likely it won't. But on a safer bet, just get one of those butt bucket things.

Re: cigs and cloth seats

I don't think so. Cigarettes don't burn hot enough to catch the fabric on fire, just leave a hole.

Leave the cig in a puddle of accellerant however...

Re: cigs and cloth seats

This is a brilliant thread.

No, it won't catch on fire unless it's wet with flammable liquid.

That's what you get for trying to smoke while you drive. Like the government ad campagin we've got over here atm, good drivers just drive.
