ECU What?

excuse my ignorance, i'm a recent convert from Aussie muscle to tuner. I have a 93 JDM Vti-r, and am considering a hondata S300 as a starting point for my build. But I have no idea what ECU i currently have. I don't know what mods if any have been done. But I do know the car is amazingly quick as it stands. Can anyone help me.

You posted this thread in the wrong forum, this is the electronics forum for DIY(Do it yourself). Please pay attention to forum titles and stickies. moved

As for which ECU you have, lift up the passenger seat floor carpet and unbolt the kick panel which lies your ECU. Read off the code, it should start with a P.

Also, it doesn't hurt to SEARCH for this information as it has been covered many times before.

Welcome to the site Aussie Luder

Re: ECU What?

thanks for the info, pardon my difficulty navigating this site, as my lap top is currently RS. I'm browsing on my phone. But still finding the site valuable. Maybe things are a bit backward down under. But i thought identifying an ECU would have been considered electronics. Other than DIY. I have to say though. These honda's are awesome aren't they? Giant Killers!

Re: ECU What?

handata s300 might be a little overkill if you just want to get it tuned.... s100 would be more than enough for you....

Re: ECU What?

i chose the s300 after carefull consideration, i'm looking for a decent half cut, so I can swap the motor out befor i rebuild. It'd be nice to have all the numbers match up when i'm finished. But I do intend doing the whole (sleeve the bores, crank, main bolts, pistons and rods. And same treatment on the top end.) befor adding boost and gas etc. But the s300 seems to be the place it all starts. But as before mentioned. We are backward down under I guess.
