Re: tuning your car

So let me get this straight - you buy a sports car, yet don't want to drive it fast? Am I right in assuming you bought a high revving performance car, yet don't want to rev it?

There's no short answer to your question, you could possibly fix it so that it would never open fully, but that wouldn't restrict the rpm.

If you're worried about fuel consumption, buy a civic or a smart car or something the size of a match box.

Re: tuning your car

Then buy a new clutch.
If you can't afford one, don't drive the car, or don't floor the throttle and shift n that rpm range you're talking about.

Re: tuning your car

I shift by about 2000 or sometimes a little higher if needed until my car is fully warm... don't screw your car over, just adjust your driving... but really, get it fixed...

Re: tuning your car

there's something called two step or something like that I've heard of before. My cousin's FD3S had it and it only revs to a certain point while the car isn't in gear which includes the car being in first with the clutch engaged. I'm not sure how it works or what cars it works on. I think Evo's have them too. But I think you have to install or tweak something. I'm not sure about this though. I just remember hearing about it and seeing it in the FD
