the appearantly infamous 3k hesitation

well i've noticed there aren't any threads about this topic on this forum, there's quite a few on honda-tech so i thought i could bring the discussion of it here, especially since my car's doing it. so the most common causes seem to be EGR valve and bad knock sensor.

my question, could either one of those cause it to die with either the clutch fully engaged or completely in gear?

Re: the appearantly infamous 3k hesitation

I'm experiencing the same thing. I thought it was the fuel pump?? or something along those lines, but I'm no mechanic just a noob. The reason I thought it was that was because if I gave it enough gas it would stop hesitating and just take off. Usually there was a pop, coming from the intake or the exhaust. which is apparently a misfire? and according to other threads its usually associated with a lack of fuel or air. someone please feel free to correct me!...its the only way we learn.

Re: the appearantly infamous 3k hesitation

i have a hesitation problem also, and if i give it enough gas it will just take off like misternoob said.

i have no idea what it could be. my egr hose is plugged right now because if its plugged in it bogs down and dies.
