To keep the Lude or not to keep..This is my question!

Hey there everybody, kinda worn out not getting much sleep last night after getting really twisted but i want some opinions so i have some questions...I have been in a dilemma now that my lude is falling apart..mostly exterior body problems..Ill list everything below so its easy to read, but i can not decide whether to rip off all my body kit and go stock with a lip and get new rims, and fix the other miscellaneous things or just quick fix it and and sell her for as much as i can get.

Its a 2001 White prelude-
84,000 miles-
Interior is in great condition-
The car looks fabulous at night untill you take a closer look in the day time lol-

The bad=

Rims are too wide and scrape on the sides of the fenders in the rear and in the front at certain turns and angles, (i cant drive with more then two people in my car when these rims are on, but they look so nice)-

Front bumper is fu*k*d pretty bad on the botom right and a little on the left-
Rear bumper got smashed once and i had someone replace it and did the ****tiest job ever it doesn't line up good and the you can see a paint difference easily-

My alarm randomly stopped working-
Along with multiple electrical problems but i believe they would be fixed if i got rid of the humongous old Amp in the trunk and half working subs which i think are draining power. (for ex. Dash lights flash, window doesnt get enough power to go up sometimes, head unit lights dont always work)

One of my upper control arms is supposedly bent, and i can never get a good alignment and have wasted two sets of tires in the past. but i know i can fix that for about 100$-

BASICALLY I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE THINKS I SHOULD BOTHER FIXING ALL THIS AND KEEP THE CAR FOR A LONG TIME, OR JUST FIX THE FRONT BUMPER AND SELL IT AS IS, PROB GOIN TO KEEP THE RIMS AND GET A NEW ACCORD OR SOMETHING THEY WILL FIT ON..as you can tell i am no car genius, but i just want some input from anyone who actually read all this

Thanks!

And heres a pic from when i first bought it, and one from few months ago driving...

i still have my base rims, im trying to say i would replace my existing aftermarket rims with different smaller aftermarkets...and add a front/side/rear lip around the stock body kit if i got it..and then paint the whole the thing one crazy color..

Get some Acura RSX-S 17s and it'll be gorgeous. Those rims look like crap.

Re: To keep the Lude or not to keep..This is my question!

To be totally honest, you can flip those rims and tires for probably over 1000 (depending on condition of course) but you could make 700 right there on the rims alone. Put the body kit on craigslist in the area in which you live and the 3 surrounding areas. Someone is gonna wanna put it on their lude. Then just buy stock bumpers.

Keep the lude. and the one upper control arm isn't anything big. I had to replace all 3 on the rear of my lude + I gota replace the k-frame now. Believe me its worth fixing.

Re: To keep the Lude or not to keep..This is my question!

keep it buddy. getting a lip kit and some smaller rims ( IMO i m not a fan of the sawblades) Keep it white dude. White cars are sexy... What are you doing with more than 2 people in your car? Even more important. how the hell can they fit? :P Sell those rims and tires, sell the body kit. Use your stock rims until you buy new ones, buy some 16s if its lowered. 17s if it isnt, or isnt gonna be. Just not stupid wide :P I have 215/45/17 on mine and it looks good. Preludes are sexy cars, and you own one. Its just a diamond in the rough... but yours has been cut out and formed weirdly, so you gotta re-cut it and make it a gem. Yeah.

If not. sell that mofo to me. Ill treat her like a princess should be treated :)
(but for cheap, because as it is, i wouldnt pay anything over 6k for it) wink wink

Re: To keep the Lude or not to keep..This is my question!

keep it.
like many other people said, those are minor fixes and selling the kit and the rims is money that can go straight back into fixing it.
your not going to get what its worth if you sell it as is.

Re: To keep the Lude or not to keep..This is my question!

lol sorrryy i didnt post in a while guys but you all really give me some good information..i did expect almost everyone to say keep it because this is a prelude forum..but i think my rims look alot better in person ive gotten hundreds of complements..but really in the winter is when ill start work..prob sell the rims and prob just toss the body kit cause it needs work..

Then get 17's and all new bumpers and lips..and repaint the the whole car pearl white again...but idk i goin on 85,000 miles here i still need to fix the electrical and get a tune up all around.

just cause i use this car to commute 35 mins to school and 15 mins to work almost every other day or every day..i put 25,000 miles on it in a year and a half so i feel like once i get over 90,000 it wont be worth much anymore...=/
