TRANNY SWAP ECU SWAP???

I did a AT to Manual tranny swap. I have been having alot of trouble with an idle problem when i press in the cluth it would die out. So i was told that the ecu needed to be chanded. I plugged the new ecu in and tried starting the car but it would not fire up.It cranked but did not fire. Does the ecu need to be reset or what do i need to do to get this thing working right?

Re: TRANNY SWAP ECU SWAP???

We need more info. What year prelude? What ECU code is the old and new ECU?

EDIT: Just read your SN, 97 prelude. The new ECU doesn't work because of the immobilizer. And yes you need to convert the original ECU to manual, not hard, you just need to move a resistor.

Re: TRANNY SWAP ECU SWAP???

done and the ecu cost 35 and 45 to get immoblizer set up. i figured it out the car was running bad due to a vaccum problem.its not pulling enough air in at idle due to the intake being fugged up or due to someone who worked on car previously did not hook up all the vaccum line correctly.
