***Friendly Filter Factcheck...***

So I bought 2 cases of royal purple from JC whitney's website because it was about 7 bucks a quart that way (then you get $20 bucks to spend there for the purchase and it ends up costing $6.16 per quart...)

Now I want to spend my $20... so I figured I would get some oil filters...

1) Which of these 3 filters would you guys recommend (bosch, purolator pure one, or motor trend)?
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/V...02020/c-10101?

same part numbers as the s2000 filters:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/B...02020/c-10101?

2) I found a good deal on some purolator fuel filters, but I wanted to confirm that all 3 4th gen engines use the same fuel filter... the part number is F54828... will this work on my JDM h22a... do you guys recommend these? if not, what should I buy? If I get some good feedback and am able to get my filters, I will post up the link and it can be a free-for-all trying to buy up the leftovers...

As always, thanks guys (and gals).

purolator is garbage. I usually try to stick with mobil filters or pennzoil

What have you got against the Purolator filters? The little string around the middle? And the Pennzoil filters are just rebadged Frams

fram, k&n, mobil 1, bosch are some of the best then you got amsoil and a few racing brands. but since its a driver one of the first 4 are really good.

Fram are great filters btw. I used to use all pennzoil filters. I still do occasionally when I'm feeling frisky.

No but purolator's are almost the absolute cheapest filters you can buy. they are made shiitty as hell.

Re: ***Friendly Filter Factcheck...***

you know what i recommend is going straight to the store and getting a mobil 1 oil filter. heres a link to show a mobile 1 oil filter versus a oem honda oil filter. http://rdx.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=682139

Re: ***Friendly Filter Factcheck...***

I actually recant and say mobil 1 or there are blue metallic filters (I forget the name) but they have a dry start valve. Its supposed to keep your car from dry starting by putting a valve inside the oil filter. Take a look into it. Also, you cant go wrong with OEM but expect to pay a dollor or two more.

I bought the 12 purolator fuel filters.... for 20 bucks total I decided it would be worth it... even if I change them more often seeing as they may not be as good as honda parts...
