Wiper not wiping correctly!

Hello all. This is my first post.

I have a 1991 Prelude and the driver side wiper will go off the windsheild too far sometimes, then it will stop when it should in the cycle. I have tightened the bolt pretty tight, and the cogs look fine to me so I don't know why it won't consistantly wipe just on the glass. Anyone have ideas?

Re: Wiper not wiping correctly!

when the wipers are off, where does it sit? at the bottom of the windshield like it should? or up a ways?

The wiper lays like it should, at the bottom of the glass, not up aways.

Re: Wiper not wiping correctly!

I had a problem similar to this, my wiper broke one day and had to replace it. When I did it just kept coming off the threads not moving or barely moving. Ended up having to push it down at an angle and tightening the bolt again. (looked like it was down all the way, but really it was off by a couple threads)

Also, not trying to jack, but since it came up my d/s windshield wiper sits up about 2-3 inches instead of being all the way down. Any suggestions?
