Icon5 *Wheel Offset question*

http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/pts/1109081771.html

this guy's selling some sportmax 15's as you can see. I don't know a lot about rim specs, but when he said they're 15X8, does that mean they're 8" across? If so...that's pretty wide. Will these stick out of the wheel well? Also, "the offset is zero..." i was looking for the offset in millimeters, but its obviously not on there. Is it zero mm? That can't be...well I'm confused let me know what's up guys I don't wanna blow my money then things sexy wheels don't fit the lude.

Re: *Wheel Offset question*

8 inch wide rims rarely work. on ludes. very few have had success. maybe there's someone on here that has had success that can provide some some feedback.

as for the right offset, +45 is a good rule of thumb. a zero offset is usually for rear wheel drive cars.

also check out this link. has some really good info on offset and tire size that will fit ludes.

Re: *Wheel Offset question*

Thanks Drew I appreciate it. I actually used that thread to try to determine what a 0 offset was, but it doesn't look like it's listed on there. I really don't want to roll the fenders (I believe that's what it's called) to make these things fit. Any other opinions on these would be greatly appreciated.

Re: *Wheel Offset question*

i have 8 inch wide rims i am almost certain, but they are 18's not 15's....and yes i do have problems, i cannot put more then two-three people in my car...even with just one person they rub and make a squeek noise when i hit deep bumps, and the front scrapes when i turn the wheel all the way in one direction...basically it is just really annoying but i deal with it cause my rims look sikkk! haha

Re: *Wheel Offset question*

i have a 3rd gen lude thats lowered on H&R Sport Springs (a lil less than 2 inch drop) i put some 18's that were probably 8 inches wide and had no problems even w/ me & 2 other ppl in the car. im not sure wat the offset of the wheels were tho.
