Rim assistance needed

So I would like to purchase these rims. But I don't know if the bolt pattern will fit on my 4th gen.

On ebay they keep showing the exact same photo on different listings, however some say in the description this is a 5 bolt pattern, while in other listing they say this is a 4 bolt pattern. yet in both listings they show they same rim picture.

The problem is that the 4 bolt listing only has 2 available for purchase, and the 5 bolt listing has 10 available for purchase.

All I can think is that this is a stock photo and both are using it, and that there actually might be a different bolt pattern on each rim. However I shall remain hopeful and wait for your feed back.

Re: Rim assistance needed

plenty of companies (especially ebay) like to use one generic photo of their product instead of taking a pic of one rim in 4x100, then 4x114, then 5x114, which all come in 16", 17", 18", and all of which come in black, gunmetal, gold, broze, red, gunmetal w/a polished lip..... you see where i'm going with this?

just email them asking if they have any other 4 lugs in stock, cuz they prolly do in the back somewhere and forgot to update their site.

Re: Rim assistance needed

Also what do these numbers mean:

17x7 4-114.3 (4x4.5") 42mm
17x7 4-100 42mm

what would be the differnce of the two rims?

I know they are both 17" in diameter and 7" wide, with a 42mm off set. but what is the 4-114.3 and the 4-100. I know the 4-XXX means a 4 bolt pattern so really what do the 100 and 114.3 stand for?

408 Thanks guys

Re: Rim assistance needed

not completely sure but i believe the 100mm and the 114.3mm is the distance from the center of each stud on the disk

100 are more for smaller cars (civics) 114.3 a lil bigger (preludes, accords)

Re: Rim assistance needed

so would a 100 appear to be set further back into the wheel well then a 114.3 would?

or do I have this backwards? would the 100 be further out?

nooo dont think that has anything to do with how deep it sets.....the disk has 4 studs right....where you put on the bolts.....from the center of these studs to thier opposite studs is the distance either (100mm or 114.3mm)....kinda if youve ever tired to put a civic's rim on a lude you can see that the holes are a lil too close to enter onto the ludes disk

in order to have a rim that sets back deep (or sticks out) into the well i believe you would need to find a rim with a small with....which idk where or where you would find one...

anyone correct me if im wrong plz

Re: Rim assistance needed

ok...after some time of reading I understand know. Thanks Twign...you were correct.

so what do you guys think of wheel adapters. it fits over the 114.3 base which will allow my car to fit the 17x7 4x100 wheels.

Depending on the maker it will make the rims pop out slightly anywhere from 20mm to 25mm depending on which brand I get. 25mm is one inch.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/25mm-...QQcmdZViewItem

The only problem I might face would be if I rub. it is to late right now but I'm going to go out and measure my stuff out and see if it will work.

what do you guys think?

Re: Rim assistance needed

Those are the wrong rims, they are pretty much identical but the lip is different. Thanks for the input guys, ya so I have read around and I found out that those are really bad and pretty dangerous. I just kept shopping around and looking finally!!!! I found a place that still has the rims in stock. they are 4x114.3, they will come out to be $110 dollars more but I'm fine with spending the money to be safe.

now I just need to wait for another pay check =[
O well it will just make it that much better when I get them!
