h23 Vtec

Hey i know this has been discused but i want to know will this fix in my 94 lude. Is is OBD1. I think that is what i have.

yup it'll fit, you'll have a lil more work to do to convert it to OBD1, but nothing too serious.

quick question..OT here but isnt that the strongest motor compared to the H22?

since it has better torque down below and its equipped with vtec??

you would think that but the numbers on the dyno is consistant with that of a typical h22 as far as whp and tq. the h23 vtec hits it's power curve a little earlier than the h22 but runs out of breath were the h22 pulls.

I'm here. I read all the time but don't post much. I'm trying to get back in the habbit of posting again . I don't think I want an evo... it's a Mit su Bitchie! I'm looking at TL or one these new Lex GS. Something will a little more status. A tsx is also in my consideration depending if I can get it with everything from Navi, to 6 speed to foglights. Same goes for the TL. The lex is kinda sorta a last resort.

or since changing the oil pump ALOTTT easier said than done, you can leave the obd2 oil pump on, put obd1 dizzy on, and run the 4 wires from the TDC and CKP sensors from the pump up to the 4 missing pins in the dizzy connector. this is exactly what i did.

you'll also need obd1 injectors, an obd1 ecu and conversion harness as well to complete the swap.

Get the TSX and I'll have mine by this time next year. We'll have to rename this TSXZone since B already has his.

I'm also looking at A Monte Carlo SS supercharged since the nice G8's are out of my price range.

Its becoming apparent that you're just wanting a str8 swap....and since you have a 94....ur car is most likely already wired for vtec. You just have to extend a few wires to have VTEC.

And you can just extend 4 other wires to convert the obd2 motor to obd1 like twokexlv6coupe said
