Spraying Exhaust piping with rust repellant?

I was think that the WS2 i just bought doesnt have stainless steel piping so i thought that i would spray it with some type of rust repellant or paint it with black or silver high temp paint. Is it worth it or will it make a difference?

A silver or a silver metallic. I know the home depot near me has high temp silver metallic and it works really well. do 2 coats covered evenly. I personally like the aluminum/ss look. I'd hit it with some rust repellent and if it ever does start rusting, just hit the spots lightly with the paint.

just my .02 cents.

Re: Spraying Exhaust piping with rust repellant?

Is it in love with another auto parts store of the same sex?
Perhaps Napa?

Re: Spraying Exhaust piping with rust repellant?

Honestly, people might disagree, but rustoleum is the SHIIT. They have put a lot of time and marketing into the product, and I used their hight temp paint all the time. I used to work on deep fryers and ovens and stoves and all, and never once had a problem after hitting them with rustoleum.

I'm not saying go out and buy 4 cans of it, but its decently priced, and its a good product.
