whats the benefits of doing the manual belt tensioner from the H23 on my H22? whats the purpose? what do i need to do it?

auto tensioners are known to fail..its basically more safer IMO, and what i was told.

manual tensioners are much muchh more reliable, as the auto's have been known to fail as steve mentioned, which basically screws your entire engine up when the timing belt skips a coupla teeth.

Wooooord. If you're even close to needing a new timing belt, when you replace it, you might as well do the auto>manual tension swap. I think for all the new parts to do it, it only costs like ~$60. Totally worth the peace of mind...I really need to do mine.

I have run across another thread about tensioner swap that refrences collective racing. When I click it, I just get a screen with the collective racing logo.
