Icon8 HELP NOW PLEASE (exhaust install in progress...issue!)

Ok so today i was installing my full exhaust:

1.) Ractive header
2.) OBX high flow cat
3.) Ebay Catback
4.) Skunk2 muffler on the ebay catback piping

Long story short, i have everything on the car right now, BUT the header will not reach all the way to the cat! its a catastrophe! i'd say its about a six inch gap..:damnit1:

WHAT THE FXCK SHOULD I DO!? :questionmark:any help is appreciated! The faster the better!

p.s....i need a fuggin :beerglass:

Re: HELP NOW PLEASE (exhaust install in progress...issue!)

looks you have a base 5th gen but the exhaust for an SH You may have to get the extension. I think Greddy offers it as a special order part. Most likely some other exhaust companies as well. That sucks man. If it is the problem i am thinking of it is only about a 3 or 4 inch gap. hang on I'll get a pic...

this is the part you are missing. this is a dumb question but did you check the packaging to make sure you didnt forget to just grab it? When i got mine I didn't know I was going to need it until I was in your situation. In the second pic you can see it bolted to the Cat.

Re: HELP NOW PLEASE (exhaust install in progress...issue!)

it came with the Greddy exhaust. Does your exhaust specify base model or SH. the base requires that extension.

Re: HELP NOW PLEASE (exhaust install in progress...issue!)

any muffler shop should have no problem welding a flange onto a piece of straight pipe for you. should cost less than $30 depending on the shop.

in my experience, more coupling = more places to form a leak. take your cat off, and cut the end off of it, then have a muffler shop weld up an extention on it. now you have a CUSTOM cat. hahaha

Re: HELP NOW PLEASE (exhaust install in progress...issue!)

i had to have an extension piece made at a muffler shop when i finished my swap. I used and h22a4 down pipe and had to have an extension added to the cat to bolt to the header flange.

They cut the flange off the cat, then welded the extension on, and thrn welded the flange to the extension to bolt to the header.

Re: HELP NOW PLEASE (exhaust install in progress...issue!)

finally took it into a muffler shop today (drove it there with the exhaust comming straight out of the header, thought i was going to die from exhuast fumes lol) and they fixed the issue for me. my catback was also hanging real real real low to the ground so they rehung it for me some different way. i'd rather not talk about how much they charged me though

but now my exhaust is complete and it sounds really good IMO

Ractive header
OBX high flow cat
ebay catback
Skunk2 muffler on the ebay catback piping
