Re: Prelude same as Integra

They aren't the same. They share no common parts. Well, except for the badge on the steering wheel.

so the wheels aren't interchangeable and none of the motot parts can be swapped and the interior can't be switched nothing is the same at all

what about civics are they interchangeable with an integra

the wheels are interchangeable and a DA front lip will fit on a 3rd gen with some modification

Civics and Integras were the same beneath the surface. Preludes were based on accord chassis.

um i would like to fight that answeer above. a prelude is a prelude its based after the prelude. it was a mix between the accord and civic when it came out but shares no parts.

Re: Prelude same as Integra

idk whan you run the vin it comes up as accord coupe. Of course that might just be a marketing scheme to inflate accord numbers which is common. Thats why the Camry was always battling the Taurus in the late 90s early 00's for the #1 midsize spot because they rolled Camry and Solara sales into 1 by calling it a "Camry coupe" in fine print under Solara lol. Theres no such thing as a "mix" really. Its either based on something existing or its not.

actually in the preludes intial year(being 1st gen) the prelude was strongly based of the accord and was little more then a stripped down, powered up accord, but subsequent years and gens were developed seperate from the accord. Everyone always seems to assume that an entry level acura=entry level honda. some share parts, such as a brake rotor or brake pad, but thats really about it. some integra's have the cr-v motors but thats about it....
sorry if this is a thread jack...

Re: Prelude same as Integra

the first gen took from the civic and accord like the body of the accord but they wanted it to be there big bucks car basically so they took the good things from both cars and kind of combined them.

ok that makes sense, cause if i run a vin at honda my 94 si comes up just that, a 94 si prelude. same thing for the secratary of states office and insurance offices. they must use a sort of "generic" vin id'ing software.
