Tuning for Altitude

I was just curious if the H22a (97-02) engine automatically adjusts the amount of fuel it uses based on the amount of air (oxygen) it gets. The reason I ask is because I live in Denver and there is no reason for the engine to use the same amount of fuel at 5k+ feet as there is at sea level.

If i'm not mistaken, the map sensor reads air pressure, and sends a signal to the ECU and calculates fuel consumption needs.
