tail lights and board are dead...

So out of the blue the tail lights and my board went blank when coming home from work.
This happened on new years and i changed the fuse and everything was good.
But now the fuse was good, i changed it anyway... check ALL fuses and unplugged the battery and they still will not light up
What the F@CK happened?!?!?!?!

Re: tail lights and board are dead...

I dont know my man, this happened to me, i checked the fuses, replaced the one, and nothing, i did a write up on my problem last week, night driving has become very interesting without knowing how fast you are going and without lights to let people know not to rear end you. lol

are the brake lights and turning signals all still good?? the speedo and the tails should be connected together on the diagram.

Re: tail lights and board are dead...

Dont know if it has any similarities.. BUT, on a mission to find out why my taillights randomly worked.... I tore apart my trunk and found, behind the left side beauty panel, about 2 feet from the left taillight, am A/B plug that has about 15+ pins in it. Some are the power feeds to the lights, and the others are feed back circuits to the ECU... I am slowly changing out the plug-- seems to have resolved "My" issues with my taillights.

You may also ceck up under the hood and make sure all the relays and fuses are set down tight and secure. Honda Loved using the A/B style plugs for whatever reason. They WILL go bad over time unfortunately. It just takes some tracing with a test light and a DMM. Good Luck!

Re: tail lights and board are dead...

The same thing is happening to me in my 2nd gen prelude. F-ing sucks because it's my main mode of transportation. Please let me know if you figure this out.

Re: tail lights and board are dead...

I fixed it... some how
i really dont know how.... like at all
all i did was look at wires to see if they are meast up and then when i gave up i wanted to see if i lucky got it to work and... bam it worked
the only thing i found was a bad bulb, other then that nothing
but i think it might screw up again :(

its a VERY good possibility that you have a shorted/grounded wire that is causing the fuse to blow.

Re: tail lights and board are dead...

Well what ever it is i have figured out it is in the fuse box... i just moved the wires to see if any are screwed up and the ABS and climate control stopped working then i rattled the fuse box around some more and they worked again... i have to see how i can take it apart and find the short or what ever is going on

So to every 1 els who has this issue with me... kick the fuse box then replace the fuse and try it!!!
