Tuning Question

So I was talking to my friend today about my full exhaust (header-back) that I am waiting to install, and he told me that it is a good idea to have my car tuned after i put the header on. He said that with the header, exhaust, AEM CAI that i have, a tune is a good idea. Is he right or wrong? I'm sure it can't hurt the car obviously, but i dont want to waste the money if its un-necessary. Speaking of money...can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what a decent tune costs? I have never had my car tuned and i am wondering what i'm in for if i decide to do it. Also, when you get your car tuned, do they dyno it? Sorry if these questions are stupid, but i honestly just need answers and PZ is my favorite place to ask them because of how helpful everyone always is :)

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Re: Tuning Question

Answer: search.

yes, tuning is the key. With Intake/Header/Exhaust you completed the basic three. Add a tune and you're set to make power that is noticeable. The main thing with you, is that your Prelude is OBD II. If you decide to get a tune, you're most likely converting to OBD I. Can you pass your state inspection? is spending upwards to $800+ on a tune & dyno session worth it for you?

deep thoughts . . .

If you're serious, speak to 98vtec about tuning options.
