Dual Cold Air Intake

What's the point of a Dual CAI? Doesn't seem like it would make a difference, seeing as the intake hole is only so big.

Re: Dual Cold Air Intake

Why do you ask?

When it comes down to it, the throttle body can only fit so much air in it.

Re: Dual Cold Air Intake

True, but in our case they don't, so it's pointless. I imagine it could actually hurt throttle response and intake velocity.

Nope, Vette/05-06 gto intake(they have ram air and the more surface of cold air, the more col air gets in= hp) but you're also talking a minimun 5.3 liter engine. and that's not an official twin intake either. only thing that would qualify is a car with dual carbs (On one intake manifold.) then it would have a purpose, or more specifiacally, a car with ITBS but that's gonna look crazy...

Re: Dual Cold Air Intake

It depends on how you define "dual intake"

Many modified GT-Rs have a pod filter mounted on the inlet to each turbo, so I spose this would qualify as dual intake.
