ESP Header

I have searched and searched i couldnt find anything about the ESP Header, so you can smack me in the face and close the thread if there is something on it.

From what i have heard they make really good quality stuff: mounts, strut bars, sway bars, etc. However i have not heard anything about their header.

So does this seem like a good buy? Anyone had any experience with it? Or would I just be better with going with a RMF/SMSP/CUSTOM???

Specs: It is a 4-2-1 Style header that uses smaller primaries up top 1 5/8" then before dumping into the downpipe spreads to 1 7/8" then into the 2" runners of the downpipe into 2.5" donut style collector.

Price: $499 shipped US with the Cerma-Krome coating

Dyno: Your basic JDM H22A OBD1 Crate Motor, I/H/E, 3" Short Ram Air Intake, Our custom 4-2-1 H22A header, 2.5" exhaust system, Stage 3 clutch kit and 12 lb flywheel, P28 Crome Tuned.

That does not look like it's very good quality. I would stay away if I were you.

The coating they put on it looks like ish, and the welds on the primaries look like ****.

Re: ESP Header

it does look a bit cheap; there is a difference between dynos, but in my experience, unless there is something not mentioned about their setup that must be a decent header as far as efficiency goes... most similar setups, with dc style basically stock header, will put down between 180-190HP and similar torque: 160-165ish seems typical. Yea, I've spent too much time at "dyno day"... You could get a $100-250 header and do a 2.5" collector mod (I should do this to mine)... I don't know how the other size specs differ from this "ESP"... Then again I saw my mechanics h22a civic, same setup as my lude (details in sig.) but with lightened flywheel and no cat hit 204.7 not long ago, whereas I only put down 183.1 on a different day when we tuned my car (but more torque, ) ... he hit 190s normally, so he acted surprised at 200+ and didn't mention any new mods.
