1992 Prelude

I have a 1992 Prelude si with a blown h23a1 if a Sohc f22b will work in car? with h23a intake and exhaust

Yes a F22B will work in your car. Both motors are around the same output (h23 is 166hp 160tq and f22b is 160hp and 150tq) and both redline at around 6500 rpms.

F22B has a lower compression ratio (9.3:1) compared to H23 (9.8:1) which isnt a whole hell of a lot.

In all honesty, if you can find an f22B for cheap, it may be a better bet if your planning on going boosted (Plus you get VTAK!!!!) but otherwise pick up an h23. It'll save you some money.

^ jdm f22b with vtec? not that I am aware of... and I thought it was DOHC... the f22a1 (usdm) is SOHC.... I'm confused...

I didn't know that the JDM f22b had VTEC either, and the F22b is the JDM equal to the usdm h23. and yes the USDM f22a1 is a SOHC

the motor i can get is a f22b2 Sohc from an accord will that bolt up
