Icon14 Help me decide what clutch to get

Ok here is my issue. I can not decide what clutch to get next. I've had two Centerforce Duel Friction clutches in the car now (it had one when I bought it and I bought one). The clutch has been good to me but is now slipping when I change gears (it will slipp for about 500rpm slightly)

As some of you may know the Duel Fricton in my car now and I like it, but its time for a change. Let me know what kind of clutch your running and what you think about it. I will not put an ACT or any kind of puck style clutch in my car (puck style clutches like to eat trannies & I'm not down know with that). So let me know what you have and how you feel about it.

Thanks again guys.

Re: Help me decide what clutch to get

Depends on what your build asks for. Competition clutch is a great clutch maker for honda. They are the most widely used for track applications. Heard nothing but good things about CC.

Also, I have an exedy, and I love it. Other brands to look into are Cusco (as I said in a previous post, I'm not sure what motors they make clutches for) and Clutchmasters (a sub-branch of competition clutch).

Here is a HT thread on prelude clutches. I'm not going to read through the whole thing, but some good info on here in the first few lines.

Re: Help me decide what clutch to get

I wouldn't put a Clutcmasters clutch or flywheel in my car if you gave it to me and paid me to use it after what happened to the fly wheel I used to have. The gear ring for the starter spun off and tore a hole in the bellhousing in my old tranny.
