deep dry cell technology

To anyone wondering if an optima is worth the money....

so im driving along everything is cool and all of a sudden my car feels kinda sluggish weak in the balls area
then my tach dies so does the spedo the odimiotor dims outa and the dash just shuts down then gets less and less balls
im like WTF so im coming to a stop light, im in the middle lane of a 3 lane 1 way street. i though id turn the car off and turn it back on.....
only the battery is dead.....im thinking massive short serious electronic problem bad ecu that failed to kick the alt on m pissed at this point and blocking traffic
then i call my buddy smoking_racer1 as hes known here or "jeff"
and hes like ""ya...... your green conection fell off the alt.
WTF
and it did so i reconect it and am waiting for my jump start to arrive
being the nature of my job i have a volt meter with me at all times
i put it up to the battery the OPTIMA battery it says a low 7 volts but the voltage is not droping
i try to crank and veeeeR veeeeer click click

i sit and wait some more and check the battery again knowing the nature of optimas and its back where it was before i tried to crank it the second time
smoke a few cigs wait around and a cop shows up tells me i gota get my car outa the street and there was no shoulder in this area it was slightly uphill to begin with....... i tell him i got a jump start on the way and hes like well if there not here immediatly i have to call a tow truck
bastard
so i check my battery one last time and he watches me this time its climbed to a high 8 volts pushing onto 9 i delay a few more minuts then try it......it was slow going but enough to get a cilinder to detonate quick enough and starts
he asks me why didnt u just start it earlier
my reply was my battery needed to recharge it self some more
he looked puzzled as f*** and i drive off all cool, like nothing ever happened
