H22 swap problems...

okay, so i'm in the process of swapping in a JDM H22a into my 94 prelude si. I took out the H23 and sold it and forgot to take off the harness and a couple of other things...i did however manage to get the intake manifold...today, i go to put it on the h23 manifold on the h22 and it doesn't line up whatsoever...also i think the EGR is on the block of the H22a but also on the manifold of my h23?!? how does that work out?? i'm stuck and i'm not sure if i should buy an h22a manny or not...

another problem...i'm converting from auto to manual but i'm stumped at the clutch pedal assembly...i see that there are two open connectors on the clutch pedal assembly, not sure what they are but i'm assuming they're important, clutch safety? i found two connectors right next to where you would mount the pedal assembly and they look like they match up perfectly with the pedal connectors but they don't? if someone can look and tell me the color of the wires that go their clutch connectors that would be great or maybe take a picture?

one more question...can someone check for me to see if their shift linkage runs under or above the cross beam because i know my auto shifter cable ran under but it seems like the manual ones wouldnt clear the tranny running under the cross beam...

Re: H22 swap problems...

thats cuz the H23 IM doesn't fit the H22. idk why you would wanna do that anyway
just leave the h22 IM on there.

also, the shift linkages run OVER the rear motor mount, if thats what your asking

Re: H22 swap problems...

and as for the wiring..... dont even bother w/ the clutch pedal wires. just dont leave the car in gear when you start it. but to start it there is a blue wire attached to relay underneath the left side of the dash. you need to put that wire to ground so your car will start.

one more question...how compatible is the H22 harness with the H23 connectors at the shock tower and all the other connectors? I sold my H23 harness with the engine and i need another one...only found an H22 harness tho, can i use it? btw, the JDM H22 harness is too fukced.

Re: H22 swap problems...

should connect no problem at all, since the motor is a direct drop-in.
