Re: 99 lude- hide-a-kill switch

the alarm should come with an ignition kill relay. it will go under your dash. when i have more time, i can tell you every wire and location for your alarm. can you post the install manual for your specific unit?

Re: 99 lude- hide-a-kill switch

emmmm......honestly i would say get it done professionally. I used to do that for a job for about 5 years and alarms are one of the more advanced installs. If you are just keeping it simple (i.e. basic alarm w/ no special features) then i'd say you could do it with little to no problems. either way let us know your plan so we can help you out if needed.

as to which unit, i am a fan of Viper and Alpine units. they prove to always be reliable.

Re: 99 lude- hide-a-kill switch

i have a fuel pump kill switch hidden in my car, that way if i ever go out of town or am going to leave my car in one place for a long period of time i can just flip the switch and who ever would want to steal it could sit there and turn it over all day but without fuel that won't do much good, and i can barely get to it where i have it hidden at so i doubt that anybody is going to find it

Re: 99 lude- hide-a-kill switch

just hid mine myself, cheap mans alarm system pretty much
ignition kill and removable face plate for the stereo. whatcha gonna steal now?
dont tell anyone where you KS is and i recomend ding it yourself so not even the mechanic knows.

when it comes to security instal there are so many scams!
the 5th gens have 2 yellow wires though, one is fuel one is ignition....

your bullets mean nothing to my concrete wall

hell, you could make a kill switch for nearly everything you can think of, and hide all of them in different locations. i'd like to see a thief steal the car THEN! (besides using a flat-bed )

And once again, Neck hit's the crux of the matter.

If a thief wants it, it doesn't matter what you do, they'll take it. If they can't start it, they'll get a tilt tray. Either that or they'll get angry and think "if I can't have it nobody can" and torch it. I've heard of both.

IDK how he dose it! But I think Neck critically analyzes every thing to the max, I guess his name is now GOD:147:

But you need to install one of these babys
