Icon8 Car feels like its fighting itself?

I have an H22a Vtec manual trans in my car. When accelerating the car feels like it is fighting itself and as the rpm's get higher it seems to get better. The odd thing about this problem is that the farther/longer you drive it in one setting it progressively gets worse. When you first drive the car for the first time that day, the problem is almost nonexistent. I have replaced cap, rotor, wires, plugs so far. Recently the flywheel came unbolted from the crank and when I took the tranny off and was looking into what could have caused that, I noticed the pilot was completely trash so I thought that may have been why my car was sluggish but after replacing the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing the car still ran the same. Please any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Car feels like its fighting itself?

I know this is old, but my car did pretty much the same thing and turns out it was because of a failed cat that would expand when it was warm and basically blocked of the exhaust

Don't think so 1 dimensionally ;)

Callipers seize off, on and in one place, unless you're constantly applying the brakes then they will only wear up to a single point.

hey man, i think i have the same problem. if its early morning, or in the first few minutes of driving it, it feel great, and if its raining it almost never comes up!! but without these conditions it feels like it slightly holds back. enough for me to notice it. guess you found a better way to explain it jaja. but im guessing its a similar problem.

Re: Car feels like its fighting itself?

Nobody checks their brakes properly :(

Seriously though, in yanky land it's not something you're going to get as much as we get it in the UK, our weather and road conditions just ask for it to rot away :(
