SRT-10

I'm not from U.S. and A. so if I see one of these its always grabs a lot of looks.

I'm talking about the new Dodge Ram SRT-10. Freaking loud and big. I thought these were supposed to be fast and all but I saw a black one flooring on mway from around 80km/h (45mph?) but it looked damn slow. It had SRT-10 badges and from the body it looked like an real SRT-10 but I might be wrong.

Can you guys shed some info over these cars? I know I can use the search and google but I want to hear what other people think about this car without the random bias.

Re: SRT-10

I think it just had the badge on it not to hard to make a ream look like the srt-10
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Ram_SRT-10
The main attraction of the SRT-10 is its engine, which is an 8.3 Liter V10 Viper Engine. This engine produces 500 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 525 lb-ft (710 Nˇm) of torque at 4,200 rpm. The regular cab, with a total wet weight of 5100 lb, making the truck reach a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h), and can accelerate the regular cab SRT-10 from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds and the Quad Cab version in 4.9 seconds

Re: SRT-10

Cool thanks guys. You guys actually confirmed what I knew initially that they are beasts and they have the viper engine. So now I believe it might have been a regular one with SRT badge cause that was slow as compared to videos.

We have very very few Rams and F150. Don't see them very often and they stick out. If people want trucks they just get the Japs and Australian. Holden Rodeo, Mitsi Triton, Nissan Navara etc. American cars are seen as freakin exotics. A POS 82 Camaro Z28 with busted ignition got sold for 10k and it had that weker engine (can't remember which one). There's only 2 Dodge Vipers in the country, quite few mustangs compared to Rams and F150s.
I never liked american cars until very recently when I became slightly more openminded. I now have a taste for 300C and SRT-8 (WOW), Cherokee SRT-8 is nice, few Cadillacs (models past 98 or 2000) and few other musclecars. Also please don't hate me but I LOVE the H2 Hummer.
As for the Oceanic market of musclecars we have the Ford Falcon (with its associated models Typhoon etc) and the Holden Commodore (with submodels HSV,S,SS,R8) and Monaro (aka Pontiac GTO). They are so many and they definately don't have the class of some american cars or large europeans.

Hey man those cars you listed such as the 300C and srt-8 cherokee are really nice cars. there that the best of friends with gas but they are nice american luxury muscle if you want the call them that. Also If I'm not mistaked the Monaro is a little faster than the US counter part GTO because it weighs in a little less than the GTO. So since I live in the US I envy you

the Ram SRT-10? that is the fastest production truck EVER!!!!!!!
