h22 trans problem

ok so i just got a 93 prelude with a h22 swap. the motor starts and runs but the car will not move. it goes into all gears but there is no pressure on the clutch. you can let off the clutch while it is in gear and it wont die. I thought it might be the throwout bearing but im not sure. Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated!

Re: h22 trans problem

so your saying you push the clutch pedal and can feel pressure? Your clutch is obviously not engaging or the drive from the motor is some how not reaching the tranny.... if you had a throw out bearing issue that dude would squeel and make all kinds of noise. also most other things that would brake on there would cause the clutch to not disengage which then you wouldn't be able to put it in gear.

pop off the inspection plate on the bottom and take a look up under her skirt. Really sound like you have a major problem.

Really it could be any number of things from bad diff, to broken input shaft had all bad. even a broken clutch disc. You really just need to take a good look and start ruling some things out. so like a said start by popping that inspection plate... Any other symptoms like noises, chattering? i really need more to go on here bud

Re: h22 trans problem

did you just do the swap???? if so did you bleed the clutch lines really good.

if so then i would have to say that the clutch is just bad and needs to be replaced.

alot more info would be really helpful along with a nice introduction saying whats up saying where your from and pretty much the basics. since you are new.... it will get you more answers.

Re: h22 trans problem

so i just got to take a little better look at it. the clutch does have pressure and it goes into gear it just wont move. checked the master and slave cylinders and that all looks good. maybe axle? or possibly the clutch just completely blew apart. seems to be something with the clutch but who knows. gotta wait til the weekend to check it out more prolly

x2.

if you have pressure on the pedal, the fluid, master, and slave cylinders are prolly fine.

since it goes into gear, that has nothing to do with the clutch assembly. thats only inside the tranny.

if you can let the clutch out while in gear and not stall, its 98% a busted clutch.
