is this an H22 in here? (prelude for cheap)

I think i found a 93 prelude with a swapped vtec motor, can anyone confirm if its an H22?

I'm trying to get it for about $1000. its got all kidnsa problems, but I want it for the motor, 5 lug conversion, and a couple other things already done to it, I'd probably part out the rest/try to sell it?

if it is an H22, what do you guys think? good buy?

it will also be inscribed in the motor, it will say h22a1 and you can see it from just standing over the engine, to the left of the manifold then look down and ull see it written

Re: is this an H22 in here? (prelude for cheap)

true

what do you think this car is worth? All i want from it is the motor. and transmission, I may try to get a shop to swap the auto h23 outta my car and put it inot this one, and take its h22/5spd and sell it like that.

What do you think i should offer for this car the way it sits, and with a a pristine perfect running h23/auto back in it what do you tihk I could get for it?

other issues that I know of: Its got some kinda bad creek when you make a right turn, stock radio is busted, a/c works off and on, massive metal roof rust, missing a clutch pedal pad, and aparently it needs new hubs, needs paint and is missing the rear H.

could just be an H22 head on a H23, F22a, F22b, F20a, etc block. only YOU can tell US what the block is by looking at the code that yogi described.

you've owned all those honda's and you dunno how to tell an H22?? :fish:

I could if I was there. but I didn't take those pictures they were e-mailed to me. I'd check the block too if i wanted to drive 45 min to look at it.

Re: is this an H22 in here? (prelude for cheap)

Just take the drive and look at it. Its not even that long. Check the other parts too and see what happens mate. Get cash and bring someone else with you. If he argues its not eneough what you offer just pull out the cash and slap it on the table "Take it or leave it". Not worth doing this over the phone without looking at the car specially when you're 45 minutes away.
