Timing belt brings vtec problems

Today I took my car to have the 100,000 mile service (at only 120,000 miles) at a dealership about 40 minutes away. When I got my car back I took it for a drive and when I got on the big open highway I realize that all of a sudden I have no vtec. So, I'm a little tick offed. I called the guy and after about 15 minutes of me telling him it's not on and him telling me he doesn't know why.

So, I guess does anyone have anything I can do to fix it without having to go all the way back there tomorrow.

Re: Timing belt brings vtec problems

No, you must bring it back there.
If they dont fix the problem, you must call Honda of America in Torrance California and file a complaint on that dealership. F**K i hate shady dealerships!!!!!!!!!!!1

Re: Timing belt brings vtec problems

I wonder if its as simple as the vtec solenoid being unplugged...

Definitely take it back.. screw that, its called comebacks to mechanics and we hate it but you should really make them fix that **** because you paid them to take care of it not get careless and forget things.

Re: Timing belt brings vtec problems

I third that, take it back and have them do what they were supposed to do the first time. I have not had good experiences with dealerships.

Re: Timing belt brings vtec problems

First see if it's something simple like the solenoid not plugged in, oil or what have you. I wouldn't want a shady shop touch my car again unless i had to and then watch them don't yell unless they say it wasn't there fault or some BS **** then unleash hell on that POS shop.
