Icon5 Titanium spark plugs

My mechanic told me that i needed a full tune up so i asked him which spark plugs are best he told me its NJK platinum cuz they lasts longer then iridium and then he told me there are titanium and gold spark plugs too that would have to be directly ordered from NJK . DO you guys think its worth it ??? and on ebay i found titanium plugs no NJK tho but so cheap

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...link:middle:us

Re: Titanium spark plugs

NJK is the way to go with any asian motor. Double platinum is what the h22 has OEM and will be IMHO the best choice for replacement but are usually coslty. I have heard good things about iridium plugs but in doing a little research i find that only the electrode is iridium on the plug and not the whole thing. This tells me that the plug may be good but probably wont last as long as say the double platinum.

Your going to pay for good plugs that are going to last. BEst bet is go to you rlocal auto dealer ask for some part numbers like whats the NGK double plat part number. Take that to ebay and see what you cant find for cheaper... just an idea...

Re: Titanium spark plugs

just go to your local parts store and either get some ngk plugs. the only two types of plugs i would get are like $7 or $10. both laser something. i cant remember but as long as you get the better of the ngk choices you will be fine

Re: Titanium spark plugs

IF you want the best possible plugs for your car here is what you do:

Call the Honda dealership and ask the parts guy which spark plugs come stock from factory in your Prelude (my 97 5th gen takes double iridium or something like that, it's been a while since I have gotten them)

They WILL be NGK since that is what Honda uses for plugs, so get nothing but NGK for your sparkplugs and you will be fine! It is always best to put exactly what plugs were in the car from factory, since that is what the car has when it is tuned and built.
