SERIOUSLY!?!? If its not one thing its another

So I had two good front tires but the rears were very bad, I also needed an alignment... So For just two rears with an alignment would have been 90 less then all 4, so i just went ahead and got 4 hankook ventus series tires.....

The genius's who did the work put two of my rims on backward. Wouldn't have been a big deal but the tires as some of you know are uni directional... So i drive back the next day and have them switch the tires.... BUT WAIT im standing outside the garage and notice the tech is reversing the wrong tires... i tell him whats up after he has the two tires off the rim that were in the correct position... So at this point they need to re mount and balance each tire....

for those of you keeping track that makes two full sets of mounting and balancing in two days....

a week later iv noticed this vibration that has gotten seemingly worse since they did the work... So i take it back AGAIN! Now im thinking that maybe a wheel weight fell off or some crap; it happens... now the tech gets all pissy with me and bla bla bla (guess he was having a rough day) hes all "these tires arnt off balance bla bla bla YOUR RIMS ARE WARPED!" Then he goes back and mumbles about how he hated taking the tires off and re balancing them and how his life sucks and he wants to kill himself or some junk i dunno.....

So.... I start thinking well there was no vibration untill they did the work... And if the rims were warped before hand why didnt they tell me about THE LAST TWO TIMES THEY HAD MY TIRES!?!?!?!?!!?

Im no pep boys uber tech that knows all about cars (sarcasm anyone) but i do know that its pretty standard practice especially with aluminum alloy rims to check for warpage and other problems. If for nothing else just to cover your own a$$ from the customer coming back and saying "you f'd up my rims foo"

So heres my thought..................... WTF!?!?!?

Iv got a pretty good idea what the hell happened and what im going to do. BUT before i move forward I want to hear your opinions on the subject.....

If there was no vibraton before they played with it, it kinda impliments them. Especially if they've already refitted and rebalanced all tyres twice in the previous couple of days.

Yeah well im thinking the they ganked up the torque order on the lugs.... How else would rims warp like that in less then a few days? Its not like im bouncing off curbs every turn. Being aluminum alloy it could happen pretty fast.
Thats pretty hard to swallow messing up the torque sequence though. Even for a pep boys mechanic

It might not be messing up the torque order, they could just be over tightening the lugs down as well...

And trust me, unless you WATCH those types of people, they can fukk ANYTHING up... I have seen someone not do a torque sequence on a car before, for them it's all about getting the job done fast for flat rate, they dont care how its done, as long as its done and out the door (for the most part, some shops and people are different)

Re: SERIOUSLY!?!? If its not one thing its another

So I called over again today to speak to the manager and bla bla bla... But anyway to the point....
They tell me I could have hit several pot holes and messed my rims up in that week of time.. (Which I didn't) but they say they won't fix their f*** up...
So what should I do? I'm thinking better business bureau?

Is your area known for potholes? Can you prove in any way that there is no said potholes that would cause warpage in the rims? Cause I hate to break it to them, but hitting a pothole won't WARP your rim, if bends the sh!t out of it and causes very large dents, which leaks air pressure, which leads to tires falling off rims at 74 MPH on a 4 lane highway in the fast lane, nearly causing a massive accident and almost getting killed by 2 Semi's, 3 cars and a van while trying to get over to the shoulder...

No i was at the one in kenwood since they are right down the street from my house but they were to busy to get it done the day i needed..... SOOO my mistake but i went over to the one in eastgate...

now i thought that the pep boys techs would be equally genetically and mentally deficient from one location to the other... BUT NOOO... please bare in mind that the sasquaches in eastgate are by far the dumbest group of people that are supposed to know about auto mechanics I have ever met.. :kabong:

They may just be playing ignorant to try and place themselves out of blame, but i dunno...

All I know is that my rims were not ganked up until they touched em and i have the paper work to show that. :deal:

but again they are claiming I did the damage *sighs* so i dunno what to do.. I know it was them I know they were so complacent in there work they F'd up my wheels. I just dont know how to get them to fix it short of shoving an exhaust pipe up there tail ends
