Well a K24 fits in, so I'm sure a H will as well.

Considering the delsol is the same basic chassis as the bubble civics, you're right.

Del sol = heavier civic.

There was a del sol with h22a slapped on it around town here and to add to insult he was turbo; small turbo and weak setup cause no space but it still fitted. NEver saw it move but it must have been fast.

Yeah, H22 isn't the best choice for a del sol, cause it too is heavy. I drove a del slow once, wasn't real impressed so I can see why someone would want a H22 for it.

I bet a b18c would be easier and you would have more room if you decided to boost or something.

That's what I'd go with if I were going to do it, or a B20B with a B18C head.

i would go with the k20...you get more power at 220hp, 152ft lbs tq, 7900 redline...thats an extra 20hp and 20ft lbs tq over the b18c type r engine....it is about 2k more for the k20 but, i would say its worth it in the long run....

There are lots of options!!... Base it on price, expectations, and your personal fancy I guess. The k20 does sound pimp... I didn't realize it spit out quite such good numbers...

All these 2L or smaller displacement would be good for a swap into a del sol. Im not too fond of these things though. The torque numbers arent very impressive. The h22 has more potential for torque

well the H22 only has about 10ft lbs more torque than the K20...so its not too much of a loss to go with th K20...and Since the H22 is a heavier engine, and the K20 is lighter, the torque probably wont be too much of a difference...

Seems like the K series will go into the newer mr2s... beyond that I have no clue... do some research and let us know!

8 cylinders or 4?

I owned a del sol SIR and it was a mean car. Don't know why people don't like it. With only intake I lost by half a length to a JDM Type-S Prelude I know they are heavier then Civics but they are worth it. Never underestimate the Del Sol.

K20A is a better engine then H22A..... no question about that, but only if you get the JDM version. The RSX one is pretty much more expensive but not that much of a better deal.

If they do im sure somebody will find a way to do an engine swap, and modify it to make it hot...
