vtec help. bad wiring?

vtec help. bad wiring?

i said eff the lawyer and when my mom left today i attempted to wire vtec, i used http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=918703, http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=833163, and http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1004852 a walkthrough kinda.

i took out the pins and spliced them into my ecu harness and ran wires through the firewall. i had a connector that just happened to fit snug on the plug coming from the vtec sollenoid(so thats why you dont see a splice on the green(vtec sol.) wire. the OP switch has a tan wire where the mech messed up but i traced it and it is spliced from the light blue wire like it should be. so im pretty sure i did that right. and i grounded the other wire at the same ground that my battery is to. and i put in the p13 of course.

it starts up fine but it has hardly any power at all, it takes a good "1 mississippi" to get to 4k rpms and when i tap the gas is kinda sputters and then revs slowly up if i punch the gas. basically it just acts like it has only 50 hp. i havent tried vtec cuz i thought it would be a bad idea to push the car when it obviously isnt runnin right. any suggestions or help. and i still have a CEL.

would the injector clip be a reason for it running crappy. and no sorry i have tried the wire thing cant get codes

if the injector connector isn't fully seated on the injector properly cuz the clip isn't attached, yea, i'd say it could run crappy cuz of that.

well the thing is i drove it earlier that day to get wire and stuff with the p14 and then didnt move the car or touch anything by the injectors when i was wiring it up, then the second i started it with the p13, it ran like crap. and yes there is a constant CEL, but that has been like that since it got effed up last september.

i went out and switched ecu's back and forth a few times. the p14 runs normal and sounds good with vtec still wired in the harness(i know it wont work). the p13 bogs down and backfired a few times so i definately think its running rich. is it possible that the retard mechanic messed with the fuel mixture to compensate for having the wrong ecu? its either that or somehow my ecu is just straight messed up and i need a new one.

ok i got a new ecu and its doin the same thing. my vtec does hit though. but it still is all bogging down and i can still floor it in first up my driveway and not wreck(which is a bad thing). i dont really know what else to check. i got a CEL but i cant get it to blink or get any codes out of it. wtf could be messing with the fuel or making it have a such a bad loss in power besides the ecu

Check all your vac lines.

When your pulling the check engine codes make sure the blue connector is shorted, the cel should stay on even if there's no codes.
