blasted thing wont start!

This morning I drove my 90 Si to work and everything was normal. This afternoon, not so. It will crank all day and I can tell it has good compression, but no start. A couple of times it almost kicked, but then, nada. I tried smelling for gas fumes by the muffler, but could smell none. We also checked for a spark at the plugs and from the coil, nothing there either. Any good ideas (besides dynamite)?

wait so no spark? cause thats your problem... haha
The real question is why no spark... so youre gonna have to test your coil to see if its good... could be crank or cam sensor too.. without those it might not spark, might not know when to...

If plugs and leads are good move over to the dizzy. IF dizzy runs fine then check your fuel relay.

UPDATE!!!
I went this morning to bring the car home from work (where it had acted up yesterday) with full plans to tow it home. I decided to try starting one more time, and the blasted thing started on the 1st try! I havehad an intermittant starting problem for months now. It most commonly occurs in the mid to late day time (when air temp is around 75 or above) and may occure after it has run or sat for hours. The only code that has flashed is 43 Fuel system. I just reset the computer a couple of weeks ago after changing out the O2 sensor. But the code showed up again a couple of days ago. Just to make it more difficult, this car was built with B21, that was later replaced with a B20, which I overhauled last summer. The ECU is for the B21, I dont know about the wire harness. and FYI, the car has now been named...

Then to my understanding it is a relay problem. I'm not a mechanic but same thing happened to my old Integra. IF left in the sun the thing wouldn't start. It shut itself off once while driving. It spins but no spark. Its got the same simptoms as you described.

What some people do is they resolder (I hope this is the correct word) the realy connections. Apparently it works. Or you can buy a new one which is not that expensive anyway. Maybe they will give you a discount if you bring in the old one.

As it turns out, the fuel control relay burned out. That's been replaced and I am back on the road, but I still have the code 43 issues.
