Stupid Tuner???

ok so i had been talking to this guy about doing some tuning on my car (98 prelude type SH) and converting to obd1. I brought the car down to show him, 1st off he is supposed to be the expert and he was asking me basic things about my car and how it worked, like where the ECUs are located (i am still a noob when it comes to prelude knowledge, but it was plain to see that he didnt know what he was talking about.) when he saw that i had to ECUs he tried telling me that i was only susposed to have 1..... now i had just been reading the forums the night before about the ECUs on the 5g ludes. So i was pretty confident about the fact that one was for basic engine management and the other was for the VTEC... was i correct in this????

He then tried to tell me that the reason why i had two ECUs was because my car was an "ex automatic" i proceed to tell him that my car is a numbers matching type sh and that they only made those with a 5spd.

was this guy a complete idiot? or was i wrong about something? if so im screwed because their arnt many tuners in my area....

does anyone know of any in the northern cali area?

thanks guys& girls

The SH has its own ECU. You have the engine and the ATTS computers. not because it was ex auto.

yeah i am near lake tahoe, i assume there are quite a few in sac. but since i am new i dont have many connections when it comes to imports. My car has CAI, Header, TB, IM, 400cc injectors, Stage 2 cams, and catback exhaust. and has never been tuned.
