I think some EDM and JDM had 5th gen 4ws. I'd start there.

Ok, there is no nice way to say this, so forgive me if I sound like a dick.

It would be simpler to just import a 4WS vehicle. Nobody makes a bolt on 4WS conversion kit, and the BB8 chassis is pretty much exclusive to European markets, and is incredibly rare even in Japan, so as a result there are very few examples out of that area. The BB8 chassis is drastically different from the BB5 and BB6 2WS chassis, especially at the rear. If you were planning on converting your car you would have to cut out the underbody section around the rear suspension.

Assuming you are able to obtain a 4WS rear underbody section and have fitted it to the appropriate location, you would then need to fit all the rear suspension geometry, as well as all the electronic wizardry (seperate control units, motors, etc) and get that calibrated.

If you have been able to get all that done, I believe that the rear suspension componants are different (shocks, springs, swaybars, etc) so you would also need to fit all of that.

Having achieved all of that, you will have an incredibly rare car, since nobody to my knowledge has successfully completed the conversion.

Hopefully I haven't scared you off, good luck with your conversion!

Its been done on a 4g. AFAIK the 4ws systems where essentially the same between the 4g and 5g. The rear suspension on the 4g 4ws and non4ws are the same, should be similar for the 5g.

in this case i would weigh the pros and cons. How bad do you want fws? Is it worth the work getting and putting the parts? Just my thoughts but if you did do it, it would be kinda sweet!
