Icon5 possible vtech solenoid problem?

i had my brother check the codes on my cel and got the vtech solenoid problem. my car has been acting fun under light acceleration from about 2000 rpm's on. I put the gas down to the floor and it takes a second to respond sounds like it is a dud. could this be cause of the solenoid or something else? anyone else had a problem like this?
im going to replace the solenoid by the way... just wanted to see if you all have any suggestions im kinda new with hondas.

thanks

Not to be a jack ass but it's vtec not vtech . Vtech makes phones and kid toys and stuff like that, i know b/c 1/2 my lil girls stuff has vtech on it.

What's the problem if the car is acting fun?
VTEC doesn't kick in till after 5,000 rpms.
Clean the solenoid before replacing it. They're expensive and cleaning it in seafoam usually does the trick for that code.
