my expected turbo setup:...

i saw jdm bb6 whining that there's no action in here :p , so i figured i would post the setup i'm looking at:

- T3/TO4E 57 trim .63 a/r
- hermsfab log manifold
- tial 38mm wastegate with 7psi spring
- tial 50mm BOV
- 440cc injectors
- stealthmode performance oil line kit
- a no name 28x6.5x3 intercooler
- a generic piping kit
- chipped and socketed crome ECU
- 3" downpipe
- walbro 255lph fuel pump
- blox boost gauge

anything i'm missing??

if i just wanna stay @ 7psi for awhile, i dont need a boost controller, correct?
and is a vaccuum manifold necessary?

a diff exhaust would prolly be last.

Sounds like a good setup man.

No, you don't need a boost controller (because of the 7psi spring).

Yes, your exhaust will hurt the output a little. My recommendation would be to (down the road) get some 2.75" piping with a HKS carbon Ti muffler. Badass setup right there.

PS- H22 or H23?

H23 with 108K miles.
but some kid IM'ed me last night asking if i wanted to buy his FMAX turbo kit. ima see what happens wit dat....
my only question with that setup is why are there 2 injectors in the IC piping??? i'm confuzzled about that.

and i have an exedy stage 1 clutch + fidanza 8lb flywheel. should be good enough, right?

well you came to the right place!

those two injectors are hooked up to a little box, that is then hooked up to a 2 (or 3) bar map sensor completely seperate of your regular ole honda map sensor. that little box (mf2, i believe) reads boost from the map sensor and starts spraying extra gas through those two injectors.

as for the clutch.... i don't know what kind of clutch the car had when i bought it.. all i know is it wasn't stock. so far it's lasted me about 5 months with this turbo.... but today my competition stage 3 comes in... which is good, because the current one is on its last leg. what am i trying to say? depending on the kind of power youre looking for, exedy stage 1 might not be enough?

my philosophy on boosting and clutches go like this..... "you need atleast a stage three clutch!"

Also, your flywheel is a little on the too light side for a turbo.....

ok cool. thru all of the turbo research that i've been doing lately, i've never seen this setup, and it made me a little uneasy also.

thanks for the help guys

crome does wonders up here, but i think i rather go with hondata s200 w/ boost... for tuning purposes, lil things your missing is oil gasket kit, bottom end gasket kit, oil lines, lilt small things and dont boost till you have 500 dollars in reserve, just incase you need extra parts and your car isnt off the road longer than expected

a good amount of money started steadily pouring in, so i'm now

but both turbo kits include the oil lines. i guess i'll get a new oil pan gasket while i'm at it. any other small things??

another question: if i put in 440cc injectors in, do i need to put a new resistor box in???

You might want to replace the OPG while you're at it, but.. isn't it like $400? Mine just went bad, but I'd rather put in half a quart here or there then shell out money for a new one.

For the FMAX kit, T3/T04B = lame. You won't have much fun with that.. but otherwise it's a good kit.

Where did you find that manifold? How much?

I have an H23 and I'm shopping for boost also.

For the FMAX kit, T3/T04B = lame. You won't have much fun with that.. but otherwise it's a good kit.

whats the OPG??

and considering this is my first turbo setup... ANY turbo is better than no turbo :p
i can always upgrade to my original T3/TO4E 57 trim

i found a log style mani for our H23's thats AC and PS compatable @ www.hermsfab.com

Wow man.. you rock. 200?!?!

OPG = Oil pan gasket.. sorry.. hehe

About the turbo, you're right, but down the road you'll want to switch.

PS-- Who chipped your ECU?

i had msn and it kicked ass in my integra gsr, turned over in any condiction and it seemed to me i got better gas milage. i will probly put this on my 5th gen.

i have an extra ecu so my plan is to just send that bad boy out and have that chipped and basemapped and if needed changed from obd2 to 1 with the harness and all.. im a step ahead just to make sure i can get everything right, go overboad if you need to man. pheariable.net, is a 1 man worker, hes good at what he does out of his basement.... has done many jobs, as seen on his website. i am not familiar with a 4th gens conversion... are you obd2? i mean what do you need done ?

No, he should be OBD-1 with really only the need to chip the ECU for Crome/Hondata/Neptune.

Phearable.net doesn't chip H23's (P13) so I guess you'll have to go with J-K tuning. They have a P28 with the OBD-2 to OBD-1 conversion harness, but you will lose your knock sensor (not a big deal) and shorter runners (5-10 hp loss under 5.5k). I would just recommend chipping your ECU first and see how that works out. If you do it yourself, please do a writeup.

assuming everything else between two different kits are exactly the same, would you guys prefer a T3/TO4E 57 trim .63 a/r, or a T3/TO4B V trim for an H23!!??!
